How to Extract pages
- 1
Add your PDF
Drop in the document you want to take pages from. It is read on your device and never sent anywhere.
- 2
Type the pages to keep, like 1-3, 5
Mix single pages and ranges in one list, or use a preset for odd, even, first or last pages.
- 3
Download the new PDF
The selected pages arrive as one file, in the order they had in the original document.
One document out, in original order
Extracting collects the pages you name into a single new PDF. The order of your list does not matter: 5, 1-3 and 1-3, 5 both produce pages 1, 2, 3, 5 in that sequence, because rearranging pages is a different job with different expectations. Repeated numbers are dropped, so a list pasted twice does not duplicate a page. Each page is copied whole, which keeps its exact size, rotation, embedded fonts, links and image data; a page pulled from a landscape scan stays landscape and stays sharp.
Presets, separate files and metadata
The presets fill the page list for you: odd and even for double-sided scans, first and last for cover sheets and signature pages. Switch on one file per page and each selected page is saved separately and packed into a ZIP. The new document keeps the original title with the extracted range appended, so the file is recognisable a month later, while bookmarks are left behind because their anchors would point at pages that are no longer there.
Nothing is uploaded
Your PDF is opened, read and rebuilt inside this page by your own browser. No copy is sent to a server, none is queued anywhere, and the original file on your disk is never modified: the extracted pages are written into a new document that you download yourself, and closing the tab clears everything from memory.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between this and Split PDF?
Extract Pages gathers the pages you list into one new document. Split PDF cuts the file into several documents, one per range. Use this tool to pull an excerpt out; use Split to break a bundle apart.
How do I extract only the odd pages?
Choose the odd preset and the page list fills itself with 1, 3, 5 and so on. The even preset does the same for the other side. This is the quickest way to separate the two sides of a double-sided scan.
Does the original PDF change?
No. The file on your disk is read but never written to. Extracting builds a new document from copies of the selected pages, so you keep the original as it was.
Are bookmarks and links kept?
Links on the extracted pages are copied along with them and keep working. The document outline is not carried over, because most of its entries would point at pages that were left behind, and a bookmark that jumps nowhere is worse than no bookmark at all.
Can I get each page as its own file?
Yes. Turn on one file per page and every selected page is saved as its own PDF, named after its original page number, with all of them packed into a single ZIP for download.
Does it work with protected PDFs?
A password-protected document cannot be opened for copying, so extraction stops and the file is reported by name rather than failing quietly. Remove the password in Unlock PDF first, then extract pages from the unlocked copy here.
Is there a limit on the number of pages?
No fixed limit; the practical ceiling is your device memory. Extracting all 500 pages of a large report takes a few seconds on a laptop, and even long documents work on a phone.
