Fill in a form and get a professional invoice as a PDF, with taxes, discounts and totals worked out for you. Nothing is uploaded.
How to make an invoice
- 1
Enter seller and client details
Type who is billing and who is being billed, add the invoice number and the dates, and drop in a logo if you have one.
- 2
Add line items and tax
Add up to a hundred lines with quantity, unit price and discount, then pick whether tax is charged per line, at one rate, or not at all.
- 3
Download the PDF
The totals update as you type. Download the finished invoice as a PDF, and the line items as a CSV for your accountant.
Why the totals here match your accountant's
Money is never held as a decimal fraction on this page. Every price you type is converted into whole minor units (cents, pence, yen), and every multiplication, discount and tax charge from there on is integer arithmetic. Rounding happens once, at the end of each figure, and it uses banker's rounding: an exact half goes to the nearest even digit rather than always up. That is the rule accounting software follows, and it is why a hundred lines here add up to the same total your bookkeeper gets instead of drifting a cent per line. A price of 0.015 charged three times comes to 0.04, not 0.05, and the invoice says so.
Taxes, discounts and several rates on one invoice
A discount is applied to the line before tax, which is the order almost every tax authority expects. Tax itself can be charged per line, so a single invoice can carry zero-rated, reduced and standard-rated items together; each rate then gets its own line in the totals block, with the amount charged at that rate spelled out. If everything on the invoice is taxed the same way, switch to a single rate and enter it once. If you invoice without tax at all, turn tax off and the column disappears from the PDF as well as from the totals.
Line items you can hand to a spreadsheet
Alongside the PDF you can download the same line items as a CSV: one row per line, with quantity, unit price, discount, tax and the line total in plain numbers with no thousands separators. It opens in Excel, Numbers and Google Sheets without a conversion step, and it is the file to send when someone asks for the invoice detail rather than the invoice.
Your invoice never leaves this tab
Client names, tax numbers, amounts and the logo you choose are read straight from the form and the PDF is assembled in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server. A draft of the form is kept in this browser under pulsarkit.draft.invoice for thirty days so you do not lose your work, and one button clears it.
Frequently asked questions
Is tax calculated on each line separately?
It can be. Choose per-line tax and every row carries its own rate, which is what you need when an invoice mixes zero-rated and standard-rated items. The totals block then prints one line per rate. Choose a single rate instead and it is applied to every line, or turn tax off entirely.
Which currencies are supported?
Twenty ISO-4217 currencies, including the dollar, euro, pound, yen, yuan and rupee. Currencies without a decimal part, such as the yen and the won, are formatted with no digits after the separator everywhere on the invoice, including the CSV.
How does the invoice number work?
The first time you open the page the number is set to INV-YYYY-0001 for the current year, and each new invoice you start bumps the counter by one. When the year changes the counter resets to 0001, which is what bookkeeping expects. You can overwrite the number with anything you like.
Do my client details go to a server?
No. Names, addresses, tax numbers and amounts stay in the browser tab. The PDF is built locally with a PDF library that runs in your browser, and the download comes from memory, not from a server.
Where is the draft of my form stored?
In this browser only, under the key pulsarkit.draft.invoice, for thirty days. It never leaves the device and it is not synced anywhere. The Clear the saved draft button removes it immediately.
Can I add a signature or a stamp?
Yes. Draw or type a signature in the signature tool, download it as a transparent PNG, and place it on the finished invoice with Sign PDF. If you only need to mark the invoice as settled, switch on the PAID stamp here and it is printed diagonally across the page.
Can I get the line items into Excel?
Download the CSV next to the PDF and open it directly, or run it through the CSV to Excel converter if you want a real .xlsx workbook with one sheet per file.
How many line items fit on one invoice?
A hundred. Longer invoices flow onto more pages automatically, the table header repeats on each new page, and the totals block is never split across a page break. If you need more than a hundred lines, split the work across two invoices.
