Terms of Service
Last updated
These terms apply to your use of the PulsarKit website and its tools. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. The terms are written in plain language on purpose; where a sentence has a legal meaning, that meaning is intended.
1. The service
PulsarKit provides free online tools for working with files: PDF, images, video, audio, text and data formats. No account is needed and no payment is taken. Most tools run inside your browser; a few send the file to our server, as described on the tool page and in the privacy policy.
We may add, change or remove tools at any time without notice, and we may stop providing the service altogether.
2. Your files and your content
You keep every right you have in the files you process and in the results you download. We claim no ownership and no licence beyond what is technically necessary to produce the result you asked for, and server tools delete the file within about two hours.
You are responsible for the files you process. You confirm that you have the right to use them and that processing them does not infringe anyone's rights or any law. Do not use the service to process material that is illegal, that contains malware, or that you are not allowed to handle.
3. Fair use and limits
The service is free for personal and commercial use in ordinary volumes. To keep it available to everyone, the following is not allowed:
- Sending automated or scripted requests to the tools or to the server endpoints, scraping the site, or building a product on top of our server endpoints without written permission.
- Trying to bypass file size limits, hourly limits or other protective measures.
- Interfering with the operation or security of the site, probing it for weaknesses, or deliberately overloading it.
- Using the redirect tracer, HTML renderer or any other tool to attack, probe or harass third-party systems.
Each tool page states its own limits on file size, count and duration. Server tools are subject to a total size limit and an hourly job limit per visitor. We may block requests that breach these rules.
4. Results are yours to check
The tools are provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to make them correct, but we cannot promise that any result is accurate, complete or fit for a particular purpose. Converted documents can lose formatting, compression can change quality, recognition can misread text, and metadata removal can miss fields hidden in unusual places. Always check the result before relying on it, especially before sending, publishing or signing anything.
Generators that produce documents such as invoices, non-disclosure agreements, privacy policies, resumes or certificates give you a starting template. They are not legal, financial or professional advice, they are not tailored to your jurisdiction, and they do not create a relationship of any kind between you and us. Have anything important reviewed by a qualified professional.
Some tools show data obtained from third parties, such as currency exchange rates. That data is provided for information only and may be delayed or inaccurate.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or any tool, including loss of data, loss of profit, or any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
If you are a consumer, you keep all the rights your local consumer protection law gives you, and these terms do not take them away.
6. Intellectual property
The site's design, texts and code are ours or are used under licence, including a number of open-source components under their own licences. You may link to any page and use the tools freely, but you may not copy the site's texts or design to create a competing service, or remove or alter any notices.
PulsarKit is a name we use for the service. Other names and marks mentioned on the site belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe compatibility, for example "Word" or "HEIC".
7. Privacy
How we handle files and data is described in the privacy policy and the cookie policy, which form part of these terms.
8. Changes and termination
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the new terms. We may refuse or limit access to anyone who breaches these terms, without notice.
9. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of the country in which the site operator is established, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in force.
Questions about these terms go to support@pulsarkit.com.
