How to Convert to PDF
- 1
Upload your presentation
PPT, PPTX, PPTM, PPS or PPSX, up to 300 MB. Hidden slides and animations are detected before conversion.
- 2
Pick the layout
Slides for a straight one-page-per-slide PDF, notes to include your speaker notes beneath each slide, or a six-per-page handout for printing.
- 3
Download the PDF
Hidden slides are skipped by default unless you choose to include them, and animated builds flatten to their final, fully-revealed state.
What happens to animations and builds
A PDF has no concept of animation; a slide either looks one way or another. This tool exports each slide in its final, fully built state, the same as printing directly from PowerPoint would, rather than trying to capture an animation sequence a static document cannot represent.
Hidden slides, on purpose
Presenters commonly keep backup slides in a deck marked hidden: content for questions, not for the main flow. By default those slides are left out of the PDF, matching what an audience sees. Turn on "include hidden slides" when you want the complete deck, backups included.
Notes and handout layouts, for different audiences
The plain slides layout is for sharing the deck as presented. The notes layout renders LibreOffice's own notes page, each slide with your speaker notes beneath it, which suits handing a full script to someone else who has to give the talk. The six-per-page handout is for a paper printout an audience follows along with, not for reading on screen.
Processed on our server, deleted automatically
Presentations are rendered on PulsarKit's server, using the same engine that draws slides for printing. The uploaded file is deleted as soon as the job finishes. The result stays downloadable for one hour and is wiped from the server within about two hours, whether or not you download it.
Frequently asked questions
Do animations show up in the PDF?
No. A PDF page is static, so each slide exports in its final, fully revealed state, the same as if you printed directly from PowerPoint.
Are hidden slides included?
Not by default. Hidden slides are left out, matching what an audience sees. Turn on "include hidden slides" to export the complete deck.
Can I include my speaker notes in the PDF?
Yes. Choose the "notes" layout to get each slide with its speaker notes printed beneath it.
What's the handout layout for?
It prints six slides per page, sized for an audience to follow along on paper rather than read individually on screen.
Can I convert just some slides?
Yes. Enter a slide range to convert only those slides instead of the whole presentation.
Can I convert a password-protected presentation?
No. Remove the password in PowerPoint first. A protected file is detected and reported rather than failing silently.
