How to Convert to PowerPoint
- 1
Upload your PDF
Up to 300 MB, up to 300 pages. Each page becomes one slide.
- 2
Pick image or editable mode
Image mode places each page as a picture, a visually exact copy. Editable mode reconstructs text as real, editable text boxes you can click into and change.
- 3
Download the presentation
A PPTX file opens directly in PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides, ready to present or keep editing.
Image mode versus editable mode
Image mode renders each PDF page as a picture and places it on its own slide. It is visually exact, and the safest choice when you need the content to look right on a projector, however complex the original layout. Editable mode instead reconstructs the page's text as real PowerPoint text boxes, so you can click in and change the wording directly, at the cost of occasionally imperfect positioning on visually complex pages.
Why editable mode isn't always pixel-perfect
A PDF page has no concept of a "text box" the way PowerPoint does. This tool reconstructs one from the page's underlying text positions, which works well for slide-shaped content with clear text blocks, and less precisely for dense, multi-column documents, where LibreOffice's layout engine has to judge where one text block ends and the next begins.
Choosing an image resolution
In image mode, a higher DPI produces a sharper slide at the cost of a larger file. 150 DPI is a reasonable default for on-screen presenting, and 200 DPI is worth choosing if the presentation will be projected at a larger size or printed.
Processed on our server, deleted automatically
PDF pages are rendered and reconstructed on PulsarKit's server. The uploaded file is deleted as soon as the job finishes. The result stays downloadable for one hour and is wiped from the server within about two hours, whether or not you download it.
Frequently asked questions
Which mode should I choose, image or editable?
Image mode for a guaranteed visual match, especially for complex or heavily designed pages. Editable mode when you plan to change the text afterwards and can tolerate imperfect positioning on complicated layouts.
Will the text be editable in editable mode?
Yes. Text is reconstructed as real PowerPoint text boxes you can click into, not an image with text pasted over it.
What resolution should I pick for image mode?
150 DPI works well for on-screen presenting; choose 200 DPI if the result will be projected larger or printed.
Can I convert just some pages?
Yes. Enter a page range to convert only those pages instead of the whole PDF.
Does this work with a scanned PDF?
Yes in image mode, since each page becomes a picture regardless of whether it has a text layer. Editable mode needs real text to reconstruct, so run OCR PDF on a scan first.
Can I convert a password-protected PDF?
No. Remove the password first with Unlock PDF. A protected file is detected and reported rather than failing silently.
