How to Delete pages
- 1
Add your PDF
Drop in the document. It opens on your device, and the page count tells you what you are working with.
- 2
Type the pages to delete, like 2, 5-7
Combine single pages and ranges, or let a preset select odd, even or blank pages for you to confirm.
- 3
Download the cleaned PDF
The remaining pages arrive as one file, in their original order.
The pages you keep are rebuilt, not patched
Deleting a page from a PDF by hand leaves its objects behind: the page disappears from view while its fonts and images still sit in the file. This tool works the other way round: the pages you keep are copied into a fresh document, so everything that belonged only to the deleted pages is gone with them. That is why the result is typically five to fifteen per cent smaller than a patched file, and why it never grows. Order, page size, rotation and links on the surviving pages are untouched.
Ranges, presets and blank pages
Type 2, 5-7, 12 to drop a cover sheet, a section and a stray appendix in one go; commas, semicolons and line breaks all separate entries. The odd and even presets clear one side of a double-sided scan. The blank preset looks for pages that are almost entirely white and fills their numbers into the field. It never deletes them for you, because a faint letterhead is not the same as an empty page, and that call is yours to make.
Your document never leaves the browser
The PDF is opened, trimmed and written out on your own device by the browser you are reading this in. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored, and the file on your disk is left as it was; the pages you keep are saved into a new document that you download and name yourself.
Frequently asked questions
Does the original PDF change?
No. The original is only read. The pages you keep are copied into a new document, so you always have the untouched file to fall back on if you delete the wrong page.
How do I remove blank pages from a scan?
Choose the blank preset. Pages that are almost entirely white are detected and their numbers appear in the field, where you can check them before deleting. Raise the threshold if faint scanner noise hides an empty page.
What is the difference between this and Extract Pages?
Here you list the pages to throw away; in Extract Pages you list the ones to keep. Both produce a single new PDF. Pick whichever list is shorter to type: deleting three pages beats naming ninety-seven.
Can I undo a deletion?
Not inside the result, but your original file is untouched on your disk. Load it again, correct the page list and run the tool a second time to get the document you meant.
Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. The whole operation runs in your browser, on your device, so the document is never transmitted, queued or stored anywhere. That holds for confidential contracts and medical scans just as it does for a holiday itinerary.
What happens to bookmarks?
The document outline is not carried over, because many of its entries would point at pages that no longer exist. Links that live on the surviving pages are kept with them.
Is there a limit on document size?
No fixed page limit; the ceiling is your device memory. Removing pages from a five hundred page report takes a few seconds, and files of a couple of hundred megabytes work on a normal laptop.
