An iLoveIMG Alternative for Image Jobs: What Matches, What Is Missing
On October 20, 2026, we matched the 13 tool cards on iLoveIMG's home page against PulsarKit. 11 had a counterpart; Upscale Image had none, and Blur face only came close.

The job behind the search
iLoveIMG is the image site of the company behind iLovePDF, with tools for compressing, resizing, converting and editing pictures. On October 20, 2026, its pricing page listed a free plan, Basic, with “Limited document processing”. A paid plan cost $7 a month or $48 a year. Its terms list a free account for unregistered users.
As of October 20, 2026, PulsarKit has more than 200 free tools for files in the browser: PDF, images, video, audio, text and conversion. There is no sign-up, no subscription and no payment form, and there are no paid plans, locked features or watermarks.
Most tools run on your device, and the file does not leave it. A tool that needs our server says so on its page.
11 of 13 iLoveIMG tools, checked on October 20, 2026
On October 20, 2026, iLoveIMG's home page showed 13 tool cards, the same 13 its menu lists. For each one we looked for a PulsarKit tool that does the same job, not one with the same features or limits. Both sites change, so this is a count on one date.
At that check, 11 of the 13 had a counterpart. Six cards match one to one: Compress IMAGE, Resize IMAGE, Crop IMAGE, Rotate IMAGE, Watermark IMAGE and Remove background. The first two lead to Compress Image and Resize Image. Photo editor, Meme generator and HTML to IMAGE lead to our tools with the same names.
That day, Convert to JPG took eight formats in one tool. PulsarKit has a converter per format for six of them: PNG, WebP and HEIC in the browser, TIFF, PSD and RAW on our server. An SVG goes through SVG to PNG first, and Photo Editor saves a GIF as JPG. Convert from JPG matches JPG to PNG plus Images to GIF.
Some matches are narrower than the card. iLoveIMG's Compress IMAGE and Resize IMAGE also take SVG, and its HTML to IMAGE saves SVG. Its Meme generator has ready templates, and its Photo editor has stickers. Its Rotate IMAGE can turn only the portrait or only the landscape photos. In turn, iLoveIMG's FAQ says the compression level cannot be changed, while Compress Image lets you pick a level or a target size.
What is missing
On October 20, 2026, two cards had no full counterpart. Upscale Image enlarges a photo, and its page title calls it an AI upscaling tool. Our Resize Image can enlarge a photo too, but it is not an upscaler, so the card counts as missing.
Blur face finds faces in a photo and blurs them, and it can blur other areas you mark. Pixelate Image covers part of that job in your browser. It hides a license plate or a screen inside a rectangle or ellipse you set. It does not find faces, so this card is not counted.
The gap also runs the other way. At that check, iLoveIMG's home page had no card for WebP or AVIF output, text recognition, collages or removing photo metadata. PulsarKit has a browser tool for each.
Limits, side by side
On October 20, 2026, iLoveIMG's pricing table set the free plan's limits tool by tool. Six tools, among them Compress IMAGE and Resize IMAGE, took 30 files and 200 MB per task. Crop IMAGE, Photo editor and Meme generator took one file, and Remove background took 3 files of up to 6 MB.
At that check, the paid plan gave those six tools 120 files and 4 GB per task. Remove background stayed at 3 files and 6 MB. Its FAQ says a file over the limit cannot be added: “a message will pop up preventing you to proceed.”
PulsarKit has no plans, and browser tools have no cap on the number of jobs. Each run still has a technical limit, set by the memory of a browser tab and named on the tool page. On October 20, 2026, Compress Image took 100 files of up to 100 MB, Resize Image 20 and Bulk Resize 500. Remove Background took 20 photos of up to 30 MB.
So that day, some free limits were higher on iLoveIMG: Resize IMAGE took 30 files to our 20, and a task could hold 200 MB. Crop Image, Meme Generator and our server tools, such as the TIFF, PSD and RAW converters, take one file at a time. Server jobs share a limit of 30 an hour.
Where your file is processed
iLoveIMG processes files on its servers. Its features page says: “Our servers upload, process and download your files at high-speed.” On October 20, 2026, its security page said processed files are “automatically and permanently deleted within two hours of being processed.”
On that date, eight of the 11 PulsarKit counterparts ran entirely in the browser, so the file stayed on your device. HTML to Image and the TIFF, PSD and RAW converters ran on our server. Their pages say the file is deleted after processing and the result is wiped within about two hours.
Remove Background sat in between that day. It sends our server only a reduced 1024 × 1024 copy of the photo to find the subject. The cut-out is made from the original in your browser.
A result does not need a trip through your downloads folder: a list of next tools under it passes the file straight on.
Where to start
For a batch of photos, Compress Image and Bulk Resize run on your device. For iPhone photos, HEIC to JPG converts in the browser.
If you need an AI upscaler, automatic face blurring or ready meme templates, iLoveIMG has them and PulsarKit does not.
