How to Add Watermark
- 1
Add your photos
Up to 100 files, 50 MB each and 500 MB in total. For a logo watermark, pick the image with the “Choose a logo” button in the settings panel.
- 2
Set the mark, position and opacity
Type the text or pick the logo, choose one of nine corners or tile it across the whole frame, then set size, opacity, angle and blend mode.
- 3
Download the ZIP
One photo comes back as a single file; several come back as pulsarkit-watermarked.zip, with every image keeping its original dimensions.
The logo has its own button
The page opens with “Logo” selected under “Watermark”. Photos go into the drop zone, up to 100 at a time. The logo goes in through “Choose a logo…” in the settings panel and is never counted as a photo. Until it is chosen, the bar at the bottom reads “Choose a logo file” and the download button stays inactive. Any image up to 10 MB works as a logo. It lands in the bottom right corner at 35 percent opacity; “Where to put it” offers eight more cells or “Tiled across the photo”.
A transparent PNG, not a JPG
A PNG or WebP with a transparent background puts only the drawing on the photo. A JPG cannot hold transparency, so its background comes along. In our check on October 20, 2026, the same 600 × 200 logo went onto a 12-megapixel photo twice. As a PNG it left only the icon and the letters; as a JPG on white, a pale 806 × 269-pixel box over the corner. The page does not warn about this, but the stage shows it before you download. Transparent Background with “White backdrop” clears a white background, yet white inside the logo goes too. A logo with white parts should be exported as a PNG.
The same share of every photo
“Size, share of the photo width” is a percentage, 20 by default, so one setting fits a mixed batch. In the same check, the 600-pixel logo came out 256 pixels wide on a 1280 × 800 photo. It was 806 on a 4032 × 3024 phone photo and 605 on an upright 3024 × 4032 one, where it looks smaller. “Margin from the edge” under “More settings” is set in pixels and does not scale. The default 24 pixels are 2 percent of the small photo's width but 0.6 percent of the phone photo's. For full-size camera shots, try about 80.
What you download, and on a phone
Each photo keeps its size and format, except a GIF, which becomes a PNG. A JPEG is saved at quality 92, and several photos arrive as pulsarkit-watermarked.zip. In our check in Chrome on a Mac, three photos of 11 MB came back as a 9.4 MB ZIP. It took 6.7 seconds after “Download all (ZIP)”. The small photo went from 405 to 441 kB, the phone photos from 5.1 to 4.4 MB and from 5.3 to 4.6 MB. Photos and logo stay in the browser. A phone's photo library does not take a ZIP, so open “Download one by one” instead. If a site caps the weight, Compress Image takes up to 100 photos at once.
Nothing is uploaded
Every photo is decoded, stamped and re-encoded inside your browser tab, and the ZIP is assembled there too. No file, no logo and no filename reaches a server, which is what makes this safe for client work and unreleased shots. Closing the tab clears it all.
Frequently asked questions
Do my photos leave my computer?
No. Decoding, stamping, encoding and zipping all run locally in your browser. There is no upload step, so a hundred large photos cost you nothing in bandwidth.
How many photos can I do at once?
Up to 100 files, 500 MB in total. They are processed one after another with the same settings, and a file that cannot be read is skipped and reported instead of stopping the rest.
How do I put the mark across the whole photo?
Set Position to "Tiled across the photo". Spacing controls how far apart the copies sit and Angle rotates the whole lattice. Around −30° is the classic look for a repeating stock-photo style mark.
What format does the logo need to be?
Any image up to 10 MB: PNG, WebP, JPG, GIF, BMP or AVIF. A PNG or WebP with a transparent background looks best. Pick the file with the “Choose a logo” button in the settings panel. If the logo has no transparency the tool still works, but the mark covers the photo as a solid rectangle, and you see that on the stage right away.
Will the photo lose quality?
The image is re-encoded once. JPEG output uses quality 92, which is visually indistinguishable from the source for a photograph; choose PNG output if you need an exactly lossless copy of everything except the stamp.
Will the mark look the same on different photo sizes?
Yes, that is the point of setting the size as a percentage of the width. Mixed batches from different cameras still come out looking like one set.
Why did my GIF come back as a PNG?
Browsers can read GIF but cannot write it, so there is no way to hand you a GIF back. The first frame is stamped and saved as PNG, and the page tells you when that happened.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, though a hundred large files is a lot to ask of a phone. Batches of ten to twenty are comfortable on a modern handset; the work is done by your device, so speed follows its power.
